Arsenal Midfielder Jack Wilshere was absent from Pre-season duties because of a new injury, his manager has revealed.
The England international was unavailable for Arsenal’s win against Guadalajara on Sunday, and his manager, Arsene Wenger, has confirmed he will be absent for Friday’s clash against Viking.
“It’s a slight patella problem but I think he should be with us on tour on Thursday,” Wenger was quoted saying.
“I hope he will, yes.”
The diminutive midfielder appeared only once for the gunners last season after recurring injury setbacks and struggled to perform for England in the Euro 2016 tournament.
After Vikings, Arsenal will face Manchester City in Gothenburg on Sunday
