On this day  in  2015;President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointment, of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, his Chief of Staff and four others was greeted by angry reactions as some described it as lopsided and sectional.

Also  on  this  day  in 2014;Barely 24 hours after former Enugu State Deputy Governor, Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi, was removed from office by the State House of Assembly, heavily armed security operatives stormed his private residence at GRA, Enugu, to recover eight vehicles.

Five of the vehicles were those he used as his official convoy, while two others were his official cars from the previous administration. The car officially allocated to his wife, Nneka Ada Onyebuchi, was also taken away. His security aides were withdrawn shortly after he was impeached.
And on this day in 2013;Former Minister of National Planning Commission, Dr Shamsuddeen Usman, stated the Federal Government would be commitment to the growth and development of the Nigerian statistical system.

Usman said this at the stakeholders’ workshop on the “Rebasing of Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP)”, organised by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in Abuja.

He said statistics was imperative as the full realisation of sectoral goal targets in the Transformation Agenda and Vision 20:2020 policy depended on the availability of timely and reliable statistics. According to him, the purpose of rebasing Nigeria’s GDP is to measure changes that occurred from 1990 to date.
