Denying the reports, the Ministry’s Director of Information, Mallam Hassan Dodo, quoted Senator Alhassan as saying that she had gone to ensure that the displaced persons were well catered for, and also to inspect the stores where the federal government had bought provisions for the needs of the IDPs.

“When I went into the stores to inspect the items, it was quite stuffy and I had to sit down, I even spoke to some pressmen after the inspection, I am shocked that the media is saying I slumped”, the director quoted the minister as saying.
