Obama Reveals He Suffered Racism In Office

President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, has revealed that he suffered racism in office, adding Americans’ ‘primary concern about me has been that I seem foreign’.

In 2009, Obama became the first ever African American to be elected to office and the first president born outside the contiguous United States.

He said to CNN’s Fareed Zakaria while reflecting on his legacy: “The concept of race in America is not just genetic, otherwise the one-drop rule wouldn’t have made sense.

It’s cultural. It’s this notion of a people who look different than the mainstream, suffering terrible oppression.

But somehow being able to make out of that a music and a language and a faith and a patriotism,

I think there’s a reason why attitudes about my presidency among whites in Northern states are very different from whites in Southern states.

Are there folks whose primary concern about me has been that I seem foreign, the other? Are those who champion the ‘birther’ movement feeding off of bias? Absolutely.

The 55-year-old said the colour of his skin had ‘absolutely’ contributed to white Americans’ negative perceptions of his time in office.

I think there’s a reason why attitudes about my presidency among whites in Northern states are very different from whites in Southern states”, he said.

Obama further told Zakaria in the special interview that he did not mind being defined as the nation’s first black president.

According to Zakaria, Obama was raised by ‘three white people’: his mother, Ann Dunham, and his grandparents, Stanley and Madelyn Dunham.

And an Indonesian, you can throw in there”, Obama added, making reference to his stepfather, Lolo Soetoro.

David Axelrod, a senior adviser to Obama at the White House who now runs the Chicago Institute of Politics, concurred.

It’s indisputable that there was a ferocity to the opposition and a lack of respect to him that was a function of race,” Axelrod said.

According to him, at least one powerful Republican was personally disrespectful to Obama.

He (the Republican)said to him (Obama), ‘we don’t really think you should be here but the American people thought otherwise. So we’re going to have to work with you,” Axelrod said.

President-elect Donald Trump, promoted ”birther” arguments, encouraging hackers to look into Obama’s place of birth in 2014.

Trump said back in August 2012 that an “extremely credible source” called his office to tell him that Obama’s birth certificate is a fraud.

The Republican, however, said recently that he no longer believed that Obama was born in Kenya.

President Barack Obama was born in the United States, period. Now, we all want to get back to making America strong and great again,” Trump said.

He, however, made no apology for his previous statements and claimed that Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign began the birther movement in 2008.

  1. Topeka Kansas USA where President Obama was born is in the USA.. You can read details of my eyewitness events surrounding the birth of him on my websites. Many around the world do not understand the shame that a family took on themselves when a loved one was lynched by a hooded death squad as his real dad Jim T Parks was in 3/61 . His mother, my second cousin pregnant with President Obama at the time said that Jim fought back so she could get away and she ran for help and it ended with Rosa Parks losing other members of her family that day too NO JUSTICE TO THIS DAY FOR THREE DEAD. . Much as in the first century Roman crucifixions, the victim was never mentioned again and the family took the shame on themselves. Its why he was never told the truth of his origins as his grandmother insisted he not know. he is the son of Obama Sr by his marriage to his mother a few months before birth. They did not live together but he agreed to give the baby his name and she his status as wife something better understood in cultures other than in the USA . My dad, his great great uncle Rev Tracy Hardy , born Alexis Romanov preformed the marriage in Topeka KS. at McVicar chapel at Washburn University . I do think that the issue of racism is more about the shame of lynching which the USA has not come to terms with its own past . More them of the color of ones skin. THE LYNCHING PROJECT IS A GOOD HEALING SOURVE and I wish we could have three plaques on the Kaw now called Kansas riverbank to recognize the three lives lost that day.. that IS THE HEALING THAT MUST TAKE PLACE.. three lives lived and lost in an act of pure evil against n interracial young teenage couple. She 15 and h 16 who were a couple and should have been given the chance to plan their future lives which is why they sat down on the river bank that day and the choice was taken from them.. I have shared info on line of another woman who did end up giving birth in Kenya by an Obama. and this and one who know part of that story seems to be the source of that gossip .. that got transferred to President Obama. who bears that name by an honor done by Obama Sr. That must not be overlooked here.
