Driver Tries To Murder Governor Fayose

For allegedly trying to murder the governor of Ekiti State, a driver has gotten himself into more trouble than he saw coming.
A driver, Ahamed Kolo, 35, has been remanded in prison by an Ado Ekiti Magistrates’ Court over an alleged attempt to murder Gov. Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State.
NAN reports that the police arraigned the commercial driver on Wednesday.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Monica Ikebuilo, told the court that the accused committed the offence on Sept. 24 at Ijigbo Street in Ado-Ekiti.
She alleged that the accused, on the said date, unlawfully attempted to murder Fayose by hitting him with his car.
According to her, the offence contravened Section 320 of the Criminal Code, Cap C 16, Laws of Ekiti state, 2008.
The court did not take the plea of the defendant as his counsel; Mrs. Felicia Nwandichi, applied for a short adjournment.
The magistrate, Dolapo Akosile, ordered that the defendant be remanded in prison until Oct. 9,
The magistrate also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the case file and send it to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.
She adjourned the case until Oct.9 for a mention.
