Redeemer’s University expels student over social media post

The management of Redeemer’s University, expelled a student identified as  Debo Adedayo,a few weeks to his graduation for criticising the school in a post on social media.

In a Facebook post, Adedayo without calling names insinuated that the VC was a hypocrite, who paraded himself as an upright person and had zero impact excerpt for hatred, bitterness and negativity yet paraded themselves as most righteous.

The University after investigations expelled Adedayo for not portraying the school in a good light. The act is punishable by expulsion going the principles guiding students’ conduct in the University, the letter read.

The University wrote, “It has been established through the findings of the students’ investigation and disciplinary that you recently posted certain messages on some social media platforms which are offensive and portrayed the Redeemer’s University and some of the officials in bad light.”

  1. Redeemer’s University…. the young man post is harmless and just like he said…if the shoe fits your leg then wear it. Its exactly what Redeemer’s University has done by this expulsion letter. They have admitted being quity.I have visited the university in the past at Ede. What a sham. The visit reminded me of my days at Igbinedion Univetsity Okada. We paid high fees but yet didnt have bathing and drinking watet not to mention that of light. When such shortcomings are shared on social media and you feel “the shoe fits you”, it is meant for you to improve on the standard of education you provide and not to expel a student.
I advise that they listen to what the student has said and respond positively to constructive criticism.
