BBC Officially Unveils Igbo & Yoruba Channels

BBC For Nigeria, officially launched its Yoruba and Igbo services yesterday. The new services will feature graphics, video, illustrations and audio. These various formats will cut across a plethora of topics and issues such as sports, entertainment, women, business, education and health.

Content from the new services will be published on social media channels as well as the website. The network is also enlisting government officials and celebrities such as Yemi Alade, Afe Babalola, DJ Spinall, Seun Adigun, Fathia Williams, Gani Adams, Falz, Seyi Law, Simidele Adeagbo and Patoranking for BBC Yoruba.

For BBC Igbo, personalities such as Phyno, Okezie Ikpeazu, Chigul, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Kelechi Amadi Obi, Hilda Dokubo, Ngozi Onwumere, Akuoma Omeoga and RudeBoy were recruited.
