Speaking at the Commonwealth Business Forum in Westminster on Wednesday, President Muhammadu Buhari said many Nigerian youths just want to sit down and do nothing, banking on the belief that Nigerian is an oil-rich nation. Buhari said a lot of Nigerian youths have not been to school and they want everything free. In his word
“About the economy, we have a very young population, our population is estimated conservatively to be 180 million. This is a very conservative one,” Buhari said.
“More than 60 percent of the population is below 30, a lot of them haven’t been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria is an oil producing country, therefore, they should sit and do nothing, and get housing, healthcare, education free.”
Angry Nigerians upon hearing the statement fired hot shots at him saying the president had no right insulting the youths, who struggle under very hard circumstances to make end meet.

At 19, President Buhari left Secondary School to join the Army. At age 21,he was commissioned a second lieutenant and appointed Platoon Commander of the Second Infantry Battalion in Abeokuta, Nigeria. Where can our youths get such opportunity today?

Nigerian youths want to “sit and do nothing, and get housing, healthcare”-Buhari
He is describing himself.
He sits and does nothing at Aso Rock.
He gets free housing at the Presidential Villa.
He spends 103 days in London and we pay for it!
Joblessness makes him talk anyhow!

President Buhari GOOFED on his statements on Nigerian Youths in London. It is actually impossible for one to believe a president would say that about his own citizens, especially without isolating those who work hard and are helping the country shine across different disciplines.

Buhari unscripted is a PR disaster for Nigeria. He told them abroad we’re not welcome because of our crimes, here he told us we’re an impatient people, and now he told them Nigerian youths are lazy. It’s like your Dad telling your potential in-laws you’re an irresponsible person.

Imagine Buhari saying Nigeria's youth are not educated! Between Buhari and Nigeria's youth who hired 13 SANs to prevent from showing his WAEC certificate? It‘s Buhari's education that is dubious and not that of Nigeria's youth who love education enough to seek it home and abroad!

Once Buhari puts on this his away jersey, just know he’s about to become a global inept clown. pic.twitter.com/mGZTRh3DDx

President Buhari is not just socio-politically tone deaf, he's also an incurable loose lip.

How can you in one breath say that your country's youth are lazy and don't want to work and in the next you appeal to foreign investors to come and invest in Nigeria? Someone please explain to Buhari that a father who calls his daughter a prostitute should not expect suitors!

"President" Buhari said Nigerian youth do not go to school but want free basic necessities of life.
Commonwealth should choose a place and time, Nigerian youth will bring their school certificates and our president should bring his too.

Buhari supervises a govt that engages in secretive, illegal employment of d children and relatives of high-ranking political elites while millions of brilliant, hardworking but underprivileged pple vegetate in misery, yet he goes 2 London & calls young Nigerians lazy & uneducated

President Buhari doing what he knows how to do best.. Disgracing Nigerians since the days of John The Baptist.
This is what you get when you elect someone with a NEPA bill certificate. A mistake that needs to be corrected.
We are not #LazyNigerianYouths
