How Boko Haram Attacked Auno, Borno State

Reports say Boko Haram insurgents stormed Auno village 7:15pm yesterday, about 13 kilometres from Maiduguri, Borno State.

They fired some shots as soon they arrived Auno, a serene town along Maiduguri-Damaturu highway, some 12 Kilometres to Maiduguri, Borno capital, causing panic among residents.

According to a source who spoke to Daily Trust,

“Some motorists were forced to make u turn on hearing the sound of exchange of guns. Some drivers made u-turn to the nearest village, I guess to Jakana,” the source said.

You recall, twenty seven people died, with 64 others injured in twin bomb blasts in Adamawa yesterday.

The bomb blasts rocked a mosque and stalls at a busy market in Mubi town, Adamawa yesterday, Eye-witnesses reported seeing over 60 people dead from the Adamawa bomb blasts.

Witnesses said loud explosions ripped through the Gwanjo market around 1 pm when the market was crowded and traders prepared for noon prayers, leaving behind dismembered bodies of victims.
