39 Years-Old Banker Assassinated Along Benin-Lagos Express Road

A Banker has been killed in a suspected assassination by loyalist of highly placed Nigerians involved in the on-going case of Dasukigate.

A 39 year old Banker by the name of Smart K. Adeleye was reportedly assassinated in a very cruel manner that saw his official car (a brand new 2018 Toyota Corolla), mobile phones, brief-case and his wallet containing some amount of money were left intact.

The shocking incident took place at the early hours of Thursday the 2nd day of August,2018 few miles from Lagos. The deceased corpse has however been deposited at a nearby morgue, while A note containing about 18 names of people suspected to be Adeleye’s colleagues that was found on the deceased body promising to catch up with them no matter how long it takes the assassin has also be handed over to the concerned Police Authorities

According to the report, the deceased was killed on his way to Benin where he was expected to collect original copies of the account opening documentations of the affected account, spend some time with some of his family members before traveling to Abuja the following day to enable him provide the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) more revelations in an on-going case involving former PDP national spokesman – Barrister Olisah Metuh, on the role his Bank played in the allege funds received via Olisah Metuh’s Destra Investment Ltd account.

It is also on record that so many Bankers have been reportedly murdered in this cruel manner for being star-witnesses in the said case while others are still at large.

A police source who pleaded anonymity disclosed that further investigations into the case is still on-going as all efforts to reach the affected States Police PROs proved abortive
