Please leave Senator Adeleke alone – PDP warns police

The People’s Democratic Party(PDP) has called on the police to ‘desist from acting the script of the All Progressives Congress (APC) concerning it’s candidate in the September 22, Osun State governorship election, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

According to the PDP,  the police springing up fresh allegations of malpractice in NECO against Adeleke is unwelcome.

The sudden realisation of allegations that Adeleke was involved in a NECO exam malpractice in 2017, as well as his subsequent invitation by the police, barely two days to the governorship election, is a ploy by the @OfficialAPCNg to distract.

In a statement signed by Kola Ologbondiyan, it’s National publicity secretary on Wednesday, the party said the police was yet to invite the erstwhile finance minister, Kemi Adeosun to confessing to certificate forgery.

The party also alleged that there were many in the APC with questionable certificates yet no investigation has been done.

The PDP also urged the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris to protect the integrity of the force.
