There were reports earlier that some parts of Abuja experienced earth tremors, which caused panic among residents.
The residents got assurance from the Senate president, Bukola Saraki and the Chairman committee on FCT, senator Dino Melaye to stay calm as the situation was under control.
However, while residents of Abuja were grappling with the tremors, Lagosians were dealing with heavy early morning downpour which has left most parts of the state flooded.
Lagos and Abuja residents have taken to social media to share their experiences today and some of the reactions were hilarious.

Lagos really needs to do something about drainages. Any little rain and there is massive flooding. Specially dangerous for a city so close to sea level.
