Ousmane Dembele preserved Barcelona’s stay at the top of the league table by coming off the bench to ensure a share of the spoil late in the second half for the Spanish champions.
Atlectico Madrid who are yet to lose a single match in the current campaign at their Wanda Metropolitano stadium took the lead in the second half and were thought to be heading for a famous victory against the defending champions before Dembele equalised with virtuallyn the last kick of the match.
Dembele who received an incisive pass from five times balloon D’or winner, Lionel Messi, slotted beyond the onrushing goalkeeper and went into wild jubilation.
Their fans are however unhappy as they felt he spent too much time jubilating when he should have gone back to the pitch with just 4 minutes of added time remaining to get the equaliser.

“Dembélé took too long in celebrating his goal. The added time was 4 minutes, by the time Dembélé finished celebrating and the game kicked off, there were only about 3 minutes left to play, minimizing Barça’s chances of scoring another goal to claim the 3 points.” (via SPORT)
