Barcelona Superstar, Lionel Messi, Sends Strong Message After His Ballon D’or Snub

Barcelona striker, Lionel Messi, has sent out a strong message after his fifth place Ballon D’or finish by scoring two stunning freekicks against RCD Espanyol during their derby clash in the domestic league to remain at the top of the league table.

The five times Ballon D’or winner finished outside the top two during the award presentation for the first time in 10 years with Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric, going on to win the award.

His fifth place finish at the awards had generated a lot of reactions but the Argentina superstar who played his first match since the awards yesterday did his own talking by scoring two stunning free kicks and also going on to provide an assist for Ousmane Dembele during the  encounter.
