I thought FG’s fight-back to Atiku’s U.S visit will be smart but this is pathetic – Ben Bruce on Bank PHB saga

The federal government has said that it would interrogate the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),Atiku Abubakar, over his alleged contribution to the collapse of former Bank PHB.

This was made known by Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, while speaking with state house correspondents on Friday. According to Mr Mohammed, there is evidence that the former vice President, was a beneficiary of slush funds that led to the collapse of the bank.

However, reacting to the report from faraway America, is Senator Ben Murray Bruce.

Bruce, who accompanied the presidential candidate to the States, alongside the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, described the move as pathetic and disappointing.

Speaking via Twitter, he wrote that the bank in question has been defunct for many years – And the federal government immediately realised Atiku’s role after proving them wrong by visiting America.

According to Bruce, while speaking via Twitter on Saturday morning, said he thought the federal government’s fight back to Atiku’s visit to the U.S, would be epic.

Bank PHB has been defunct for a decade, but it is the day after Atiku proved them wrong by coming to America that they suddenly remember that he has a case to answer? This is such a disappointment. I thought their fight back would be something smart. But this? This is pathetic!
