According to reports, 18 persons died in the building collapse at Ita-Faji, Lagos, while forty-one others are reported to be injured.
The building which housed Ohen Private Nursery and Primary School on its third floor collapsed around 10 am on Wednesday, March 13 3019, killing scores and trapping others.
The Commissioner for Health in Lagos State, Jide Idris confirmed that 18 people were dead, while others rescued had been taken to Lagos State University Teach Hospital and Lagos University Teaching Hospital among others. He also assured that the rescue mission will continue today.
Lagos State Emergency Management Agency also confirmed that over 41 people were rescued from the collapsed building; which had been earmarked for demolition since 2014.
