The University of Nigeria resumed for the 2009/2010 academic session on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at all Campuses of the University.

According to a release by the Acting Registrar, Anthony Izuka Okonta, all freshmen will arrive on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, while the old students will return on Friday, March 19, 2010.

The release added that both freshmen and old students should visit the University of Nigeria website,, for information on payment of sundry fees for their respective courses and accommodation. Application for accommodation and payment of sundry fees should be done on-line and before return to campus, if possible.

Scratch cards for all payments will be available from Tuesday, March 09, 2010, in designated banks for various Faculties. Students of Aba Campus will obtain theirs from the Bursar’s office in their campus.

Registration for freshmen begins on Friday, March 12, 2010 while Orientation commences on Monday, March 15, 2010 and ends on Thursday, March 18, 2010. Lectures will begin on Monday, March 22, 2010 for both the freshmen and the old students.

All students are advised to take these schedules seriously.

    so all candidates who are expecting their names should purchase the above said day news paper.

  3. I’m confused about the publication of 6th october concerning Unn’s Direct Entry admission. I want to understand if it’s meant only for UME or if DE is really inclusive because I sat 4 DE screening and later, interview. Somebody should help me. 07031102531

    As 4 me i can accept any course at all given 2 me as long as i will study and become a graduate.

  7. Information available states that, the 2010/2011 Academic Session has commenced. First Year Students resumed on the 25th and commence registration on the 29th. old students resume on 7th. While lectures for both students commence on the 13th December 2010.

  9. please, dear unn i will never be happy in my life time until i am offered admission into you . this is the third time i shop for admission and right now no hope. though this last time i made 227 in ume and 240 in postume in pol sci.but nothing seem to be working out. however i strongly believe that there is no sort of short change of merit with mediocrity. i humbly urge the authorities to please give a special attention to merit irrespective where one comes from. okey i am from ebonyi state with such high mark i suppose to see my name even in supplementary list but to no avail.please authorities of unn give favor to ebonyians and other students who merited their course.08164285239
