I want to change the world! I’m not even joking, I seriously want to change the world. I feel like I wasn’t just put here to make money, tour/own property all over the world, marry Tall,Dark&Handsome, raise beautiful, God fearing kids and leave an inheritance for them. I could do all these by the grace of God but it wouldn’t be a fulfilled life to me because that is the norm. Everyone wants to live large and take care of their family. I want to take care of not just my family but also strangers. I want to leave a legacy for my children (“A Lannister always pays his debt”, lol) so that long after I’m gone, the seeds of spiritual fruitfulness I planted in them will grow to be bigger, more beautiful and much more fruitful than mine.
My neighbour should never go to bed hungry. Yes, the kids in Somalia are starving but till we check that our househelps, security men and even relatives have food to eat, it will be hypocrisy to send help to people the U.N, W.H.O and rockstars are feeding.
I want to put a smile on the faces of the little boys that wash windshields at traffic lights. I can’t get them off the streets or pay their school fees but if I can get them to smile everytime they see me then that’ll be enough.
I want to be someone people run to or point others to. The Bible stresses on good works (Titus 3:14, 2Corinthians 9:8-10) and I want to be there for as many people as come my way, to be a healing balm to the hurting and minister salvation to the lost. I know some people will try to take advantage of me but see, the devil will NEVER ask you to give or be a blessing. And it is always better to err doing good because God will still bless you ;)
Someday, when I have the resources, I want to get someone off the streets. Get them off the streets, saved, on their feet and send them away to bless others.
I want to burn so bright to the glory of God that you can’t help but want to serve Him too. I want to love, to bless, to be, all that I was made to be. I may never get on TV or be in the papers but that’s not even the point because everytime someone smiles, laughs or thanks God because of me -to His glory- that’ll be me living a fulfilled life.
I don’t just want to change the world, I will change the world.
