Police Arrest 50 Suspects Over UN Attack

Mr Hafiz Ringim, the Inspector-General of Police yesterday revealed that that 50 suspects have been arrested with regards to the bombing of the UN building in Abuja. So far, there are however no details as to how or on what criteria the suspects were arrested.

The UN attack which left 23 dead and 73 others still hospitalized has been condemned by various countries, most recently, Isreali Government and the French Minister of Foreign Affairs Alain Juppé criticized the attack. Four victims of the attack who were in critical condition have to flown to South Africa for treatment.

Ringim, who was invited by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru to brief the diplomatic corps said he would allow the President address the nation as regards the progress made in unraveling those behind the attack. He however declared that “All the missions are required to request for specific assistance of security in order to feel more secured and it shall be granted as I have been mandated with other security apparatus to beef up security around all the foreign missions, the entire country as well as the whole of African region”.

  2. We have heard enough of shadow-chasing approach adopted by the NPF in Nigeria in arresting suspects. I believe Mr. president knows the perpetrators of the savage acts at various quarters in the country.They should go all out to ensure arrest of these cruel,greedy and inhuman idiots sponsoring the illiterate nothern youths.

    I wish I was in a position to bring them to justice!

  3. Nigeria must be kept ONE-despite divergences in many and many ideology. Also, let us just put in check our selfish and bigotry interests. Finally, For the Unstable groups let peace reign and please allowed our country be a place of full of opportunities for collective agreement’s for our youths. Learn from the ARAB youths presently using their senses properly, who don’t now believe in instruction from individual derail preacher or LEADER but teaming up to put their country right.
