WIFE of the late frontline nationalist, Anthony Enahoro, Helen, passed on yesterday at the age of 79.
The Guardian gathered that Mrs Enahoro, who was Adolor of Uromi, died in Lagos, after a brief illness. She was said to have had a protracted battle with cancer.
Her son, Eugene, confirmed the news but said, “I am in a family meeting”.
Pa Enahoro, who moved the motion for the nation’s Independence died on December 15, 2010 at 87.
The passing of his wife, Helen, 13 months after the Statesman’s, shocked people of Edo State when the news spread yesterday.
