LAGOS State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), at the weekend, called on Lagosians to play their roles as true citizens through love and sacrifice for the general good of the society.
In his Easter message, Fashola said it is only through love and sacrifice that people can truly uphold the legacy of Jesus Christ, which is encapsulated in his selfless love and sacrifice for humanity.
According to the governor, the greatest legacy Jesus Christ left for is that of love and sacrifice, noting that the best way to sustain the legacy is to fulfill individual’s obligations to the society.
Easter, the Governor further noted in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Hakeem Bello: “Is a period when we engage in sober recollection of the ultimate and selfless sacrifice of love that Jesus Christ made on our behalf,” adding that the society requires more expression of love.
The governor pointed out that his administration has worked consistently in the past five years to advance the quality of life of citizens.
