  168. Nigerian university admission authorities should wake up. Admission cut off point of 180-200/400 is only 45-50% pass mark. This is just too low/mediocare in view of the large UTME candidate population of over 1.5million for which there is space for just 0.30million plus. A cut off point of 250 ie 62.5% for 100L universitities, 220 ie 55% for 1yr univ basic course, 200 ie 50%,for 2yrs univ basic/polythenics OND, 190 ie 47.5% for 3yrs NCE,lastly 180,ie 45% for 1yr pre NCE will help bring sanity to higher education system in Nigeria. In our univeristy days in the 70s-80s only grade one distinction WAEC scores get you prelim positions/current 100L in the univeristy. Grade one./two WAEC gets you 2yrs HSc/GCE A level position. All these 180/45% UTME students is no good for Nigeria especially where many of them are 16-19yrs old youths. Pls raise the cut off points before talking of post UTME.

  171. Mr Freemind, in as much as what you said got some sense in it, do you think that’s feasible in a country as corrupt as Nigeria? Where only those who’s got the money gets everything? I wager you might be one of such if care’s not taken! Is it raising the cutoff mark that’s the problem? Then think again! Nigeria’s made education uninteresting, ok? Or do you think if the cutoff mark’s raised to 300, that’ll guaranty that those who get admitted merited it? Just wish you all seeking for admission best of luck!

  172. please dear concern, concerning that of Akure post utme, can u help us to find something to do about the cut-off mark, to may be 180 please, since the federal has declare the cut-off mark to be 180, and i can see that there are some school even federal school that have follow the instruction. please i believe there is some thing the school can still do about it. thanks very much
