The Lagos State Government has suspended the  sack of the 788 doctors recently relieved of their duties from the government employment.

The suspension followed the intervention of the leadership of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN)  and others led by the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Channels Television reported that a spokesperson to the Lagos state governor, Hakeem Bello, released a statement claiming “the government’s decision to recall the sacked doctors  followed several pleas from the national and state leaders of the Action Congress Party (ACN), traditional leaders in the state and other concerned leaders in the country.”

Tinubu who addressed reporters on Thursday alongside State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola and Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Tunji Bello shortly after discussion with the government, urged the doctors to return to work.

  1. Gov. Fashola and ACN have no choice than to call back those doctors if they believe that they are serving Lagosians and they want to stay in power beyond 2015,afterall we are running civilian govt not military or autocratic govt. Howeva,Gov. Fashola need to apologise from Lagosians and pple that have lost their loved one during the strugle. We all voted for him including those doctors and their families,he is not beta than us, so he has to do our mandate.

  2. I really don’t know what ds country has turned into. For christ sakes, Tinubu Ȋ̝̊̅§ an ex Governor, why Ȋ̝̊̅§ he S̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴̴̴̴̴͡ involed I̶̲̥̅̊N̶̲̥̅̊ state affairs…. Does it mean Fashola has no sense of reasoning? Its S̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴̴̴̴̴͡ disheartening!!! They are trying ‎†̥ play politics again and make it seem like tinubu means well for us when he has virtually colonised us I̶̲̥̅̊N̶̲̥̅̊ another 2nd slavery. If he Ȋ̝̊̅§ S̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴̴̴̴̴͡ power hungry, he should go control his workers I̶̲̥̅̊N̶̲̥̅̊ first Nation airlines, TV continental, †ђξ nation, alphabeta consulting,or collect rent at Ikeja shopping mall. BLOODY BASTARDS

  3. is it normal for doctors to go on without notice? what should we working in one man business do when aggrieved? should all the allocation and tax be spent on civil servants? how many tax payers a
    ctually use govt hospitals?

  4. Yes, your Excellency Fashola u ‘re a true democrat. U listen to peoples voice by calling back the Doctors. What ever the case may be, try to 4get & 4give & live peacefully. After all Lagos is 4 all of us. God bless.

  5. Atleast it shows Mr Fashola is fallible as human. It’s been said that he has done so well but certainly when the pages of history book will be opened, it will be seen that as a governor he showed very little or no respect to human life. His decision will be remembered as one of the most inhuman and indiscreet decisions in history of mankind.
