TRAINING for volunteers in the newly created Osun Youth Employment Scheme-Technology (OYES-TECH) started yesterday with the state government pledging job security for the participants.
The scheme started in all the 10 designated centres in the nine federal constituencies of the state.
Its coordinator, Mr. Bambo Bashorun, said registration would continue in the centres despite the initial positive response from the participants.
He noted that the training would run concurrently in the centres, which cut across the geo-political zones in the state in order to give the youth opportunity to feature in the laudable programme.
Bashorun noted that the training was designed to equip the participants with a broader perspective of the theoretical framework in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and the applications of the theories in the actual repairs, servicing, maintenance and assemblage of mobile phones, computers (desktops and laptops) and other electronic equipment.
