Allied Cargo Plane Crashes In Accra

Just when we thought the days of Nigeria’s own artificial birds were done crashing, Ghana sends us a report that one of our birds was shredded by the gods of high impact.
The plane crashed near the El-Wak sports stadium in Accra, killing ten people. It was said to have missed the runway of the airport in Accra, and crashed in some vehicles parked at the village. This was around 7:15pm yesterday.
Whatever the reasons for the plane crash maybe, there obviously still needs to be moping up and fine-tuning of the Nigerian Aviation industry that recently got so much from the Government to improve the sector.

  1. I don’t think this crash necessitates the casting down of the Nigerian Aviation Industry. The immediate and remote cause of the crash are not yet known and could take months if not years before they are determined. It could have been triggered by poor lighting at the airport or even radar issues. If any of those were to be the case, how is it then the problem of the Nigerian Aviation Industry? Should our industry be blamed simply because the airline is registered in Nigeria? You can as well go as far as blaming the crash on the airline manufacturer then. Let’s not be too hasty to jump to conclusions, the facts will emerge soon. May the souls of the departed rest in peace.amen.
