This is a list of all Nigerian commercial planes and their ages. Though the official age limit of aircraft flying in Nigeria’s airspace is 20 years, many of the planes in this list are more than 20 years with some being as old as 40 years.
The list is from Planespotters.net, a civil aviation database with 200000+ photos and information on 30000+ aircrafts.

An air plane of 40years still flying humans? Jesus! ƜЂA̶̲̥̅†̥ kind of country are we in? I can imagine the state of a 40 years old car. It’s a time bomb.
my only concern is dt these aircrafts shld be properly maintained to avoid lose of lives. Sometimes an old man require more attention than a young man. May the souls of Dana airline RIP
I want to also believe that with what has happen in the aviation sector so many facts will emerge, i pray and urge the FG not to spare anyone found guilty…Nigeria is the best Nation on earth lets all stand and kick against corrupt practices at all levels not just the FG even at our homes cuz charity begins at home. We all have a role to play in building our hard earn Democracy. Long Live noblejecee!!! Long Live Nigeria!!!
what is an airliner with 40+ yrs still flying humans for? My God!
Dana plane that crashed waqs 29 years old! Any plane of more than 20 yrs old should be banned!
Mr Noblejecee, I fail to see anything noble about you at all. Do you own a car? How old is your oldest car? How can you wickedly advocate sending an old man to the farm when there are fresher blood to do the job? Maintenance does not make anything stay forever young, not even humans. The owners of these commercial fleets can comfortably afford to buy newer crafts but choose to buy these death trap contraptions instead because they have not the slightest of respect for human life. If you are related to them or have any interest in these flying coffin airlines, tell them their cup is full. Its judgment time. They either brace up or quit.
Check Overland and Associated, their aircraft are older than that, those companies like falcification of records. Contact Manufacturer of their Aircraft, most of those aircraft are already on the junk list of their manufacturers
God have mercy,20+years airplane still flying,Jesus is Lord, only God knows who the next victims will,God please have mercy on us
The minister in charge shld be sack, why after plane crashed we re getting ages of planes. She shld take responsibility of all dead frm plane crashed.
Dear Lord, help us to do what is right with the positions you place us in and the power you give us. May we value the lives of others not just our own. Airline operators & owners please have the fear of God.
An old Airplane should not be allowed to fly again in Nigeria oooooooo. Hmmm this time, who knows the next person’s plane to crash. cos Nigeria will always wait for something to happen before preventing it. But they say “prevention is better than cure”, while in Nigeria, cure is better than to prevent.
This is the height of corruption. Demuren and his co-travellers should pay dearly for this injustice to Nigerian people. What have we done to deserve these flying coffins in our airspace? Please President Jonathan should not spare, all the airliners should be shown the way out if they are not ready to replace their coffins with planes, afterall it costs less to maintain a new machine than these dead but flying crabs. The Minister of Aviation has to tell Nigerians what she wants to do next. God save Nigeria!
the most painful thing is that the top poeple incharge of all dis crash will never fly wit and plane above 5yrs….what a wicked generation!
with this information what is NCAA doing about it, and they still allow them to fly in nigeria airspace?
I just pray that this recent air mishap would not compel bus and taxi drivers to increase their fares. For the past two days, i observed that our rich men prefer to ply the roads than be flown to their graves. For me, i have resorted to treking from now hence forth. What of you?
For me, our leaders are our problems, they know all this but will never talk, what nas the name the of the wife of the president has to do with the Dana air plane crash? If truly she has no hands on it “NO ONE” will ever mention her cause of the respect she carries in the nation.
Let Mr. President declare a state of emmergency in the aviation sector, and roll out a.bail out plan.
It’s a pity dat I have to say this but our aviation sector knows that these planes have past official age limit of aircraft flying in Nigeria’s airspace and they did nothing about it. One of these plane have claimed 153 lives and instead of the FG to pass an order to remove all the planes that have past their flying age limit from our airports they are busy looking for whose fault it is, well Nigerian’s it is the fault of the FG and the aviation sector for leaving these flying coffins in our airports. Today is DANA who knows what plane will be next. FG and aviation sector save us these troubles and let us live.
why is this thing so common with we nigerians? Is it when a disastrous and sad event has happened that some persons usually comes out to criticize, demean, and analyse issue that will be of no importance to us when adequate and effective investigation should have been carried at the initial level. What has happend has happend, why this uncalled analysis.. I’m tired of the way things are being done in this country.. MAY GOD HELP US.
Watch this movie it shows you how you can view US Netflix in Canada or some other place. Operates fantastic for seeing CTV from anyplace in the world.
