Dana Crash: Jonathan Commiserates With Onwuliris At Victim’s Burial

THE remains of the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Prof. Celestine Onwuliri, was yesterday committed to earth at his country home in Amuzi, Ahiazu Mbaise, Local Council of Imo State.

President Goodluck Jonathan, who was represented by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, commiserated with the family of the deceased.

Onwuliri, the husband of Minister of State, Foreign Affairs (1), Prof. Viola Onwuliri, died alongside 152 others during the June 3, DANA Air plane crash at Iju- Ishaga, near Lagos.

Thirty-two other indigenes of Imo State also perished in the air mishap.

All governors of the South East geo-political zone — Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Sullivan Chime (Enugu), Theodore Orji (Abia), Elechi Amadi (Eboyi), and Peter Obi of Anambra states, were present.
