Nigeria’s multi award winning Producer and Talk Show host Fummi Iyanda and her partner Chris Dada on Friday 22 June 2012 got another international award for their innovative web series chopcassava.com, which is a video blog (or vlog, if you will) that comprises footage of significant events of the occupy Nigeria protest.
It was awarded for the best web series in the fiction category at BANFF World Media Festival that was held in Canada. Chopcassava.com is independently produced by Fummi Iyanda and Chris Dada and was up against five other nominees in the non-fiction web series category. Fummi and Chris where the only African representative at the event. The duo has once being nominated in 2011 for a documentary they produced titled ‘My Country Nigeria’.
