Bishop Emma Isong, the General Overseer of Christian Central Chapel,Calabar, Cross River State has critized the CPC’s Muhammadu Buhari (retd) for talking too much.
Reacting to the recent statement by Buhari that 2015 would be bloody, the international evangelist said, “Buhari is talking too much and making an average northerner not to take him seriously,” advising the CPC leader to minimise his outburst.
He however advised President Goodluck Jonathan to focus on health, education, electricity, information and communication technology, housing, road construction and transportation and agriculture, saying these are the basic sectors that touch the people directly while consolidating on the energy sector.
“Jonathan has scored high in the oil sector where he has streamlined things, confronted the oil cabal, embarked on oil sector reform, removal of subsidy etc. No Nigerian leader has successfully done this before. I give it to him in this sector. He has done well”, he added.
Commenting on corruption, the Bishop argued that the vice was not a People’s Democratic Party affair as politicians get corrupt in agreement with the electorate who pester them for money and since their salaries cannot meet the demands, they have no choice than to divert some funds meant for development projects.
