Tour Operators Condole With Families

THE National Association of Tour Operators (NATOP) has condoled with the families of the Dana Air crash victims, describing it as big calamity for the country’s domestic tourism.

President of the association, Mr. Nkereuwem Onung who is also the Chairman of Remlord Tours, disclosed this in a message to the nation.

While praying for the repose of the souls of the victims and for God to give their families the fortitude  to bear the loss, Onung said the incident has further dented the image of Nigeria’s tourism given that NATOP and others in the tourism industry have been battling with the image issue created by the Boko Haram sect and incidents of kidnappings.

“Boko Haram has created a huge image problem for tourism in Nigeria and the improved aviation records we have been touting globally in recent times, have taken a huge bashing with this,” he lamented.

Condoling the bereaved families and the nation, he commended the international marketing efforts of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) at the different travel markets.
