Job Position: Manager-Mass Market

Division: Mass Market Segment
Reports To: Head-Mass Market Segment

Job Summary:
Ensure execution and implementation of mass market strategies and initiatives aimed at maximizing market penetration, growth and profitability

Principal Functions:

  • Develop propositions for research initiatives aimed at acquiring intelligence on the preferences and behavioural patterns of the mass market within the Nigerian operating environment; proffer recommendations for the attention of the Head-Mass Market Segment
  • Propose new mass market product initiatives and options for convergence
  • Develop propositions for promotional campaigns targeted at the mass market segment
  • Liaise with the Brands & Communications team in defining effective channels for communicating defined/ approved initiatives aimed at creating awareness in the mass market segment
  • Develop initiatives for market penetration and market share acquisition for the mass market segment
  • Liaise with relevant Marketing divisions/ units to ensure successful launch of products targeted at the mass market segment
  • Develop a customer lifecycle extension plan for the mass market segment and proffer recommendations for the attention of the Head-Mass Market Segment
  • Provide clear direction, set targets, prioritize tasks and assign responsibilities to subordinate team members
  • Support the Head-Mass Market Segment in implementing the division’s work programmes and plans in line with agreed-upon procedures and guidelines
  • Support the Head-Mass Market Segment in planning and managing the human and material resources of the division in order to optimize performance, boost morale and enhance productivity
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates’ performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives
  • Prepare and/ or compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Head-Mass Market Segment
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Head-Mass Market Segment

Educational Requirements:

  • First degree or equivalent in a numerate discipline
  • Relevant postgraduate and/ or professional qualifications/ certifications will provide an advantage

Experience & Skills:
Between five (5) and eight (8) years’ directly relevant post-NYSC work experience
