Nike Oshinowo: ‘I Have decided to worship God at home…my presence always distract in church’

In what sounded like an unbelievable statement coming from a highly respected figure like Nike Oshinowo, she gave the following statement which has baffled so many people till this very moment:

“Anytime I enter a church people are always quick to notice me and some may not even concentrate on the service anymore as I always become the center of attraction in such cases. And this also distracts me. Therefore I have preferred to stay at home and worship God, rather than to keep causing unnecessary distractions in church.”

How do you feel about this statement?

  1. Wonders they say never ends, cause your an actress or what so ever does not make you superior that you make such statement to me ur nobody Nike that you cant go and thank ur creator 4 making U what you fill who U are, when trying time comes maybe U will remain @ home,it will surely come wt God the time will come.

  2. Getting to church early will be better joor. But getting there late walking to sit in front row makes u a distraction. maybe ur dressing is the problem. If its not then change to a new church and keep a low profile. Don’t make people loose their faith ooo..for those who want to sha..

  3. For those who understand bible and follow its teachings, women beauty and voice distracts that is why in the bible women are not allow to preach but today we have women pastors all over, if she understand that is the problem she create for people nothing stops from worshiping at home, she is just been bold of speaking her mind if not the people dress to churches this days is even an apology

  4. i believe she has decided to make her self a figure, also she might be the type that come’s very late to church, and she has been known for that attitude, when u walk in late to church every body must gaze at you.

  5. Right. Though the Bible says we should not forgo the gathering of our brethren, this lady understands the importance of genuinely worshiping God. After all our hearts are the temple of the Holy Spirit. You can worship God with a pure and holy heart wherever you are.
