Nike Oshinowo: ‘I Have decided to worship God at home…my presence always distract in church’

In what sounded like an unbelievable statement coming from a highly respected figure like Nike Oshinowo, she gave the following statement which has baffled so many people till this very moment:

“Anytime I enter a church people are always quick to notice me and some may not even concentrate on the service anymore as I always become the center of attraction in such cases. And this also distracts me. Therefore I have preferred to stay at home and worship God, rather than to keep causing unnecessary distractions in church.”

How do you feel about this statement?

  5. Right. Though the Bible says we should not forgo the gathering of our brethren, this lady understands the importance of genuinely worshiping God. After all our hearts are the temple of the Holy Spirit. You can worship God with a pure and holy heart wherever you are.
