Usain Bolt Wants To Play For Manchester United, Says He Will Help Stop Manchester City

Usain Bolt has already conquered the world of track and field. Twice, actually. Now, he wants to try his hand feet at a new sport: soccer. And, according to some comments he made recently, he wants to do it by trying out for Manchester United.

“People think I am joking,” he said, “but if [Man U manager] Alex Ferguson called me up and said, ‘OK, let’s do this, come and have a trial,’ it would be impossible for me to say no. I would not take up the challenge if I didn’t think I was good enough. I am a very accomplished player and know I could make a difference.”

After reading Bolt’s comments, Man U player Rio Ferdinand offered to help him get a tryout, too, and even exchanged tweets with the fastest man on the planet about it.

@usainbolt if you want that trial at Man Utd shout me, I’ll speak to the boss!! Well done in 100m, waiting for you to smash the 200m now!

Failing that, he wants the chance to work with Nani, Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia, as he claims he can coach them to become as good as Cristiano Ronaldo.

‘I don’t know if Alex Ferguson will offer me a trial or not,’ he told the Sun.

‘But even if it doesn’t happen I would like to come and help coach the attacking players at United like I did with Ronaldo – anything I can do to make sure the title does not end up with Manchester City again.’
