Unknown Gunmen today, Monday kidnapped a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Bauchi State, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Sade and also killed his bodyguard.
A former chairman of the Bauchi State Fertilizer Distribution Commitee, Alhaji Sade was kidnapped from his residence at 5a.m. on his way to the mosque to attend the Fajr (Morning) Prayer on Railway Road, Bauchi.
He was reportedly forced into the vehicle and driven away just after his bodyguard was shot dead.
The Commissioner for Police, Bauchi State Command, Mohammed Ladan, has thus confirmed the incident, saying that a suspect was already in custody over the matter.
