Abducted Wife of Osun Speaker Rescued

Abducted wife of the Speaker of State of Osun House of Assembly, Mrs Muibat Salaam, was on Saturday rescued from her abductors at Ogunmakin area, along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, in Ogun State by officers of the Vigilante Service of the state.

Muibat, who is the first wife of the speaker, Mr Najeem Salaam was kidnapped on 9 October in Ejigbo, Osun State.

Sources say that the organization acted on a tip-off and arrested three of the kidnappers who were handed over to the officers of Ogun Police Command in Abeokuta.

Confirming the development, commissioner of Police, Mr Ikemefuna Okoye said that Muibat Salaam was in stable condition.

“I have her and the Speaker with me here, we are getting details of what transpired from her, investigations will commence immediately.”
