Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is one of the biggest stars of Nollywood – the world’s third largest film industry. Hence when she speaks about the industry, she does so with authority and passion.
In her latest film, Amina, she breaks with her usual glamorous image and deals with the difficult subject of mental health. She recently passed through London, where the film was shot, for the film’s premiere.
Focus on Africa’s Fidelis Mbah caught up with her and asked her about her newest role.The actress spoke on other issues and is reported to have declared that Nollywood can be better than America’s movie industry known as Hollywood because Nigeria is now making good and quality films that can compete favourably with Hollywood movies.
