Renowned Yoruba gospel musician, Yinka Ayefele, in an interview that he recently granted which was published by Tribune, has revealed lot about life as a musician, especially with the challenges that come with having to do perform on a wheelchair.
The multiple-award-winning singer who turned a supposed tragedy into a blessing – an accident that affected his spinal cord – said that the accident was indeed the greatest blessing to his life. Using his very words, Ayefele said: “It has been a tremendous blessing. God understands and has plans for every life.”
However, when asked about what he thinks of St. Janet, a female erotic singer who is renowned for corrupting gospel songs, Ayefele had this to say:
“I can’t judge Janet, I’ve met her and I’ve spoken with her. At a time, I even advised her to do an album and title it “repentance”. However, she is old enough to know what she wants and even as people may think that her songs are obscene, some people pay her heavily to do those songs. However, we are all praying for her.
