First Batch Of Dangote Drivers To Complete Training In January 2013

2,000 graduates who represent the first batch of Dangote DriversTraining Scheme, will conclude their training in January, 2013, an official has disclosed.

The scheme was launched in November at the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Bassawa, Zaria.

The Director-General of the Institute, Alhaji Aminu Yusuf, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Abuja on Monday. He said 2,000 graduates of various disciplines were expected to be trained under the scheme to become professional truck drivers.

Yusuf explained that the training would be done in batches of 100 participants on quarterly basis over a period of four years which would terminate in 2016.

He said the institute was carrying out the training in conjunction with the Federal Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) and the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).
