Kogi Govt To Rebuild, Resettle And Repair Houses Of Flood Victims

The Kogi State government has said that the donations received from the relief fund will assist in the construction of houses for victims of the flood disaster.

Governor Idris Wada stated this Wednesday when he received a N50million cash donation and trucks load of rice from a businessman and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, Chief Jide Omokore.

The governor said the money will be used to rebuild, resettle and repair the houses of those affected. Earlier, Chief Jide Omokore said the donation was to aid in the rehabilitation of displaced people, commending what he described as the prompt response of the government to the plight of those displaced.
