NSCDC Boss Sues For Peace At Yuletide

Nigerians have been called upon to celebrate the Christmas and new year peacefully. This call was made by Commandant General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ade Abolurin after the Corps’ 2012 Festival of Nine lessons and carol at the Ecumenical Christian Centre, Abuja on Wednesday.

While enjoining Nigerians to be in a state of sober reflections at yuletide, he said the development of the country was in the hands of all Nigerians.

“Peace among the inhabitant of Nigeria, love among all of us is what we preach”.

Dr. Abolurin also urged Nigerians to be thankful to God despite the present situation in the country.

While assuring Nigerians of the safety of lives and properties during the festive period, he promised that men and officers of the NSCDC will be adequately deployed to all nooks and cranny of the country to ensure safety of inhabitants.

Dr. Abolurin said the NSCDC will not tolerate any act that is detrimental to peaceful atmosphere during the festivals.
