The photo above is not the fang of some scary reptile but those of Wang Pengfei – born like every other normal child 16 years ago in Southwest China but as he grew, so did he grow two sharp fangs as teeth.
His mum Wang Hui took him to a local hospital for medical tests earlier this week as she tries to get to the bottom of his bizarre canines even as she has visited various hospitals and specialists in the past with little success.
Doctors at South West Hospital now say that her boy will only be eligible for surgery when he is an adult with the cost for surgery put at 70,000 to 80,000 Yuan or N1.7 million.
Wang Hui said her son’s character has become more and more isolated throughout his teens – and that he attacks classmates who stare at him or whisper about him.
So shy is Wang Pengfei about his condition that he even refuses to pose for photos.
“He has no friends, and has gradually realized he is different from other children” says his mum who is growing increasingly worried about his plight.
