AFCON 2013: Atiku Tips Super Eagles For Glory

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that he is looking forward to Nigeria’s Super Eagles opening encounter against Burkina Faso at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in South Africa.

The Turaki Adamawa speaking via his Facebook page said: “I am waiting expectantly for the kick-off of Nigeria’s opening match at the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.”

“My expectations are high that the Super Eagles will soar high above all opposition as it begins its continental quest for glory.”

He added that: “I am a great supporter of the Super Eagles and urge you to extend your support and solidarity to our national team.”

The senior national team which although many football analysts do not consider as one of the favorites to clinch gold at this edition of the soccer fiesta, is still regarded as a football power house on the continent and will this evening confront Burkina Faso in the ongoing competition.
