A naked man ran berserk in Glen View and bit off his father’s genitals during a brawl in their house.
In that rare fit of rage, a man in Zimbabwe, Admire Gomo (26) gave his mother a thrashing, leaving her scurrying for cover.
For the offence, Admire was arrested and brought before the court facing a physical abuse charge. The court found Admire guilty and fined him US$100 with an option of 30 days in prison. In addition, two months were suspended for five years on condition he does not commit a similar offence.
The prosecutor had it that on 18 December 2012 at around 7.15am, Admire was at home when he had a misunderstanding with his mother. The argument started when she asked him why he was in a habit of coming home late.
The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) graduate also confirmed that he was naked on the day in question since that was how he slept. He also told the court that he was infuriated by his mother’s approach as he resorted to violence leading to his father Fred Gomo (64) to intervene.
As they continued arguing, Admire’s parents teamed up to discipline their disrespectful son.
After overpowering Admire, they locked up the door of the house and made a police report leading to his arrest.
