Barcelona and Argentina forward, Lionel Messi, has created history by winning the Ballon d’Or, for a fourth consecutive time.
He won the award ahead of Barcelona team-mate,Andres Iniesta and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Argentine attacker becomes the first player in history, to win the Ballon d’Or four times in succession. He previously shared the record of three consecutive victories with Michel Platini, while Dutch duo Johan Cruyff and Marco van Basten also won the prize three times.
It was no great surprise, as the 25-year-old enjoyed a sensational 2012, where he scored 91 goals for club and country.
Congrats Messi
Lionel messi deserve the award with 100%.
Messi has never been aggressive in playing football, he plays the real football.
It is good 2 give honour 2 whom honour is due. Without been bias, i think messi deserve the award title. To his contemporary C Ronaldo his is also a fantastic player but he realy needs to work more harder to achieve his aim.
Cr7 do u ve anything to say about the result of the Ballon d’OR that has been anounced 8hrs a go?
There is dis old phylosophy dat d glory of egypt is pharoah while pharoah in turn is egypt…so also today messi is football nd football is mesi…congrats as i await d 5th one frm u next year
Am so happy for him, i no he going win it but am asking what is common abt it .b’cos is very unique, special,
I would have stopped watching football if the result of the world best had gone otherwise. MESSI has at least 3 more Ballon d’Or before he can surrender it to Neymar. UP MESSI!
