Photos: Yobo Visits Motherless Babies Homes In Lagos

8Nigerian players are using their affluence to impact the lives of the less privileged especially children and motherless babies. From Obafemi Martins to Kanu Nwankwo, the story is the same – of young Nigerians who came from a humble background but haven’t forgotten their roots entirely.

Just recently, Super Eagles skipper, Joseph Yobo, visited the Hearts of Gold Children’s hospice in Surulere to make donations and spend some time with the children there.

Yobo, who apologized on behalf of his wife, Adaeze and his son, Joey, who couldn’t make the visit because of school, donated food stuffs, a generating set, and a lot of other valuables as part of giving back to society through his pet project, the Joseph Yobo charity organization, said:

“I was touched with the condition of the kids. It is sad to know that some of them will still die. I am happy to have put a smile on their faces and give them hope to survive. I could have been like any of them but for God’s mercy.”

Yobo also visited House of Mercy in Ebute Meta, Yaba and Fair Life Africa Foundation, Lekki.
