Job Description
To deliver service and support to customers by assisting in the smooth processing of transactions in the following areas:
• Reconciliation/Investigations;
• Ensure compliance of all internal procedures and operational controls.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Thoroughly investigate the reason for outstanding items on the Bank’s Nostro accounts and follow-up with the relevant units for the closure of these items
2. Thoroughly investigate the reasons for outstanding items on internal suspense accounts owned by Group Technology & Operations and follow-up with the relevant units for the closure of these items
3. Provide support to Group Reconciliation Hub (GRH) to ensure smooth running of Nigeria reconciliation operations.
4. Develop and maintain secure and sustainable control environment through effective management of Operational Risks, Group and Country regulatory guidelines. Introduce relevant systems, procedures and controls to support them
5. Review periodically procedures and systems in the unit for improvements and enhancements to ensure increase in productivity and efficiency
6. Develop and manage relationships with key internal customers by anticipating their needs, and ensuring that service standards meet their requirements.

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor Degree
• Good working knowledge of the Bank’s products and services.
• Accounting Qualification e.g. ACCA/ICAN (Completed or Partial completion)
• Good analytical skills to analyze, interpret, resolve and change workflow and improve productivity
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Good working knowledge of banking and statutory regulations and back office processing
• Ability to identify, analyze and manage operational risks
• Good PC skills – word processing and spreadsheets
• Candidate should clearly demonstrate ability to exercise clear and sound judgment relating to all aspects of reconciliation
• Candidate should clearly demonstrate ability to effectively handle conflicting priorities.

In compliance with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act of 2004, all applicants should ensure that they have completed the mandatory NYSC programme. A discharge certificate will be required as evidence of completion of the programme. Where an exemption has been granted, a certificate of exemption will also be required.
