If there is another established artiste apart from BankyW who works hard to ensure artistes signed to his label are heard and hit it big in Nigeria’s competitive music industry, it’s Trybe Records boss, elDee. Thanks to the don, K9 needs no introduction anymore. You must have heard about Sojay too, all thanks to the boss. Trybe Records artiste, Aramide is also not left out as her debut singles “I Don’t Mind” and “It’s Over”are still enjoying airplay. She has described her contact with elDee as the handiwork of God.
Aramide says working with ELDee is wonderful, as she adds, “I feel protected and loved as the only female artiste on the record label. I’m learning a lot from him”.
The singer revealed that her debut singles, ‘I don’t Mind’ and ‘It’s Over’ were inspired by true life experiences as it affects relationships. “Everyone has had good, bad or ugly relationships. So my single ‘I Don’t Mind’ talks about all the odds people face in relationships. They are love songs that talk about the both sides of love.
“‘I Don’t Mind’ is about all the odds people talk about in relationships. For instance, when a guy isn’t rich, doesn’t have a car, or the girl is too dark, too tall and all sorts of various attributes. So the song is basically about kicking or going against those things that are seen as wrong or contrast,” Aramide explained.
She hinted that her album drops soon, and disclosed she’s already perfected plans to feature more artistes as well as do more collaboration.
