“Put Smile On The Faces Of Nigerians” – David Mark Urges Eagles

Senate President David Mark has charged the Super Eagles not leave anything to chance as they face the Elephants of Ivory Coast on Sunday.

Mark believes the Eagles have no reason not to defeat the Elephants as he says they have all it takes to snatch victory and progress to the next round in the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON 2013.

Speaking at the tee-off of the 2nd edition of Pa Aikwuta Mark Memorial Pro-am Golf tournament in honour of his late father in Otukpo, Benue State yesterday, Senator Mark called for a team spirit amongst the Eagles during the encounter.

According to the Senate President, Nigerians have fasted and prayed for the Super Eagles’ victory, “All that is left for the players is to do their own part of the game and put smile on the faces of Nigerians”.

Senator Mark urged the Eagles and their handlers to do everything needed to bring the trophy to Nigeria, adding, “You see, Nigerians love soccer. I don’t know of any other thing that truly unites Nigerians. Any time we are playing, it is Nigeria and Nigeria.

“That is the uniting spirit we crave for in the nation. The Eagles are the medium to actualize this unity.”
