A chieftain of PDP and Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, FTC, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, has accused Oyo state Action Congress Nigeria, ACN of stealing some of the programmes of the People’s Democratic Party.

Akinjide in a statement through the party’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Lukuman Agboluaje, yesterday, claimed that Governor Abiola Ajimobi led administration was “copying my good programme of buying tractors for farmers in the state.”

Oloye Akinjide last year purchased six tractors for farmers in the state to increase their productivity and provide more food for the people of the state. The tractors were donated to farmers in the three Senatorial Districts in Oyo state at a ceremony in Ibadan, the state capital in July 2012.

Akinjide claimed Governor Abiola Ajimobi inaugurated the state`s tractors programme only in February this year.

“The Oyo state government is copying my good example of buying tractors for the local government areas. I am happy to have shown the way to good governance which the state government is following,” Akinjide said.

Oloye Akinjide further explained that she gave the tractors free to farmers in the three Senatorial Districts in fulfilment of “my promise to make life better for the people of Oyo state.”

In addition to the tractors, Oloye Akinjide assured that farmers in the state would receive fertilizers from the federal government.

“The present federal administration in the country is committed to improving the living standard of every Nigerian,” Akinjide assured.
