CNN Anchor Piers Morgan clocks 48

Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan known professionally as Piers Morgan was born 30 March 1965.

Morgan is a British journalist and television host currently working in the United States. He is editorial director of First News, a national newspaper for children published in the UK, and host of Piers Morgan Live on CNN.

Morgan began hosting Piers Morgan Live on 17 January 2011. The show replaced Larry King Live in the 9:00 pm timeslot following King’s retirement.

He is also a former judge on America’s Got Talent and a former winner of The Celebrity Apprentice.

Morgan, born Piers Stefan O’Meara, lost his father, Eamon Vincent O’Meara, a dentist, of Dorking, Surrey, England when he was one. His mother Gabrielle subsequently remarried, and was named Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan by his stepfather.

Today, the die-hard Arsenal FC fan who has never hidden his disgust for Arsene Wenger’s methods that has left the club trophyless for several seasons, is arguably one of the best journalists Britain has ever produced.

‘One day you’re the cock of the walk, the next a feather duster.’

Happy Birthday Piers Morgan.
